My students were so engaged with this unit. They knew very little about Dickens or Victorian England. This was a great unit! I will use it for years to come. I even went back and bought the escape room and love it as well

In my class, we read the play scene by scene. We analyzed each scene with a discussion, plot diagram, some notes, and then a compare/contrast graphic organizer as we compared and contrasted the play scene by scene with a famous puppet video version! (It also pairs quite well with the video version featuring George C. Scott!)
